Hey all I used to be on here, I dunno if you remember me I was "My98Splorer"
I had a Green 1998 Explorer XLT which met its end in a roll over where a VW bug hit me on the Highway and caused me to spin and roll. The explorer saved my life, along with the seatbelt.
After a hiatus from the explorer I find myself purchasing a Used Mercury Mountaineer.
This one is a 1999 AWD V8 its oddly equipped however, and thats where my question arrises.
1. It has a black headliner. How rare is that? Never scene that in a explorer or mountaineer.
2. It doesn't have keyless entry keypad yet it has power door locks, however I didn't get a key fob with it. Is it possible to at least get keyless entry via getting remotes and coding them to the car with the how to instructions or does this car also lack the receiver for key FOBs?
3. This car has the non full center console that came in XLS and XLs, I miss and loved my XLT full console that met the dash and had the rear air blower for rear passengers. How hard would it be to add one, there are tons in our junk yard from other explorers (PS I don't care if the audio controls don't work I just like the wrap around console.
4. Power seats-this car doesn't have them either, can I add power seats if I grabbed a good set from the salvage yard, aka is it pre wired so I can?
