Gonna need a new clutch. I have a 5spd. I am thinking of going with the duralast clutch kit but want some recommendations on what you guys think and suggestions you have. Thanks

If you get a duralast, you will be replacing soon. Luk might just be the best on the market. Center Force is pretty good on these trucks i hear.

As far as Autozone parts are concerned, I've had too many fail early. The final straw was when I installed a thermostat from them, that didn't work. Now I get all my parts from Napa or O'Rielys. The service it better, the people are knowledgeable, and the parts are better.

Go with LUK, Ford does.
Get a quality slave from the dealer.

LuK is a good clutch for a good price, and is the same thing you'd get from a dealer.

You can get them rather inexpensively online, even through amazon.

Be sure to replace the slave cylinder when replacing the clutch.

You can also buy the clutch, master cylinder, and slave cylinder for a 93-94 and upgrade the system. The 91-92 clutch/master/slave is slightly different, and they work best when you either get all 91-92 stuff or all 93-94 stuff.

Are you running a stock motor?

That Kevlar clutch from Phoenix Friction Products is velvet smooth. Done only street driving but I'm very impressed so far. I can't wait to get her jammed in between some boulders so I can really put it to the test.

I had a centerforce in one of my old X's. It was pretty good. Though I didn't see any difference from stock in my driving. $ wasted I think.

I have a SACHS in mine and it's been good so far.

wow i am gone for a few days and so many responses. thank you all. i am running stock everything right now. does that change anything?

Well, if you are running a stock engine then you don't need anything too fancy. A Spec Stage 1 would be an awesome choice, and more than you need.

Amazon was selling a stage 2 centerforce kit for 269 when I got mine. I also got the TB and PB CD's too. The slave should be from Ford. Flywheel was from Advance. All for ~450. I am also stocked in the engine dept.
