New Explorer owner needs suggestions!

Hi Everyone! I just bought a 1994 2 door explorer sport with 4x4 on the fly. What kind of modifications can i give it to make it more durable off road? i'd like to lift it by putting bigger tires on. I'm really new at this so any advice would be great!

make sure your battery is strapped down and all mechanicals are in good condition. Belts, hoses, u-joints, etc.

Make skidplates to protect body and underbody, manual hubs, quality tires, strong front and rear bumpers....
