2008 Ford Explorer 4x4 V8
Hello, I'm Lucas. I drive a 2008 4x4 V8 Explorer with 75000miles. Found this site while looking for lift kits for it.

As far as my Explorer goes, i'm still in the beginning stages on what i'd like to see it become.
I'm starting out with the stereo.
I decided to keep the Sync radio since i'm satisfied with its capabilities (USB, Blutooth, and Voice commands). I have it running to a Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 sound processor/ line level converter which sends the signal to an oldish school MB Quart Onyx 4 Channel amp and a Crescendo BC5500 Monoblock.
For speakers it has Infinity Kappas in all doors and 4 Selenium 6.5" Pro mids and 2 Selenium Supertweeters run with AudioPipe 2-Way crossovers in the cargo area next to the sub box.
for bass, I have 1 Upgraded Soundstream x.. 18 in a 9.1 ft^3 box tuned at 31hz.
Planning on replacing the SSXXX 18 with 2 Sundown Audio Zv.4 18s in the near future.
Beyond that, I have a 2nd battery under the rear driver seat ,Dynamat along the whole roof, and am currently waiting for the 350amp Mean Green alternator to arrive.
I don't have any pictures of the system to show you since my phone is currently being fixed. but I'll add them to this as soon as I have it back.

Anyways, I look forward to checking out the forum and getting to meet you. If you have any suggestions for the lift. It'd be greatly appreciated. I'm only looking to go up about 2-3 inches.

Thank you.

Welcome to this forum! Do you have a diode style battery isolator or a high current relay? What is the amperage of the alternator? There are some performance alternators with dual outputs to charge both batteries separately, but I've never seen one in use (only advertised).

Currently I am running without an isolator. Reason being that in my experience, an isolator is only needed if you don't have an electrical system capable of supporting your amps. i.e. you have voltage drop. Isolators are only there to protect your vehicle's electrical system from damage caused by low current. If my math is right, then between the 300amp alt, and the planned 3 XS Power D3400s, I'm more than capable of supporting my setup at full tilt. Should my math turn out to be wrong, then I will be adding a diode style isolator (provided I can find one big enough to handle the amperage). Since I work on a budget, I'm trying to save money where I can. Personally, I've never even heard of single alternators capable of individually charging separate batteries.
