Hi, just joined because I picked up a '99 XLT w/ 4.0l and I've been lurking on here for a few months gathering knowledge since im a gearhead. Just looking to beef it up a little to take it camping and two tracking... not much into rock crawling or anything like that. Just like to tinker cause I cant leave anything stock.

I dyno test engines for Roush, and also like to build hot rods and motorcycles. My time is consumed by my '53 chevy that I just got done redoing the chassis w/ 4 link, mustang II, c-notch and airbags, and im getting ready to chop it. Also building an old triumph drag bike and constantly wrenching on my harley to keep it going. I do all of my own fabricating and painting mainly just because im blessed to have a place to do it, and I dont like paying other people to do stuff.

anyway, I will post some pictures of my explorer in a couple days. I plan on cranking up the bars, add a leaf, and lift the body 3", add some 33's, and a winch cause we like to play in the snow up here in michigan.

Welcome Jon!

Snow? Where... :shifty_ey

:D

I've got a truck hauling some road barricades back to your place in the next couple of weeks...

Road barricades eh? what the heck would we do with those!?

dont worry, the snow is coming. haha, then we head north to the cabin for more snow.

Welcome from another Michigander! My other half works for ROUSH, in building 6 and I've got a few buddys in 50.

Lemme know when youre ready to do some fabbing for an 04 ;)

Where do you go up north? We have a place in Luzerne (just NW of Mio)

Up in Gaylord, and a friends cabin just north of Comins... he has about 170 acres and the pro rally race comes by his property every January. So we do alot of partying up there... and winching each other out.

Whos the other half in 6? I work over in 15 and work with people over at 6 quite often. Small world.

Her name's Tori, She's in accounts payable. I was in Gaylord 2 weeks ago. Went to my place for a night and made a run up to JAY'S and i had to make a stop at elkview to win a bet. lol

welcome jon

Welcome Jon.

Snow?? In Michigan?????? I don't believe it!
Country 313 - Where in Luzerne? I'm up there all the time. My Grandma lives up there.

Wow, small world, huh?

Yea, dont know too many people up in the offices.... The elk viewing area is something else eh? We have to check that out everytime we go up. Mio is a great area, perfect for weekend trips.. not too far. Id like to get some land out that way. Gaylord is not like it used to be... first walmart, then kohls, then... its just like home! we are south of Gaylord.. in Waters but its close enough. JAYS is as close as I get to downtown anymore.

Yeah. My buddy who has a place in West Branch Bet me that I couldnt show him live elk that weren't in a farm... Sucker! LOL!

I love it up there, far enough away from everything to be peaceful, but close enough to civilization if you need something. I usually go to the JAYS in Clare because my buudy's property is 20 minutes from there but will occasionally make the trip to Gaylord from my property

She lives right next to the fire barn by "Ma Deters". I love it up there.

Yup, I know right where that is. Another friend of mine has a place across the road and down (towards the trail head) just a little ways. I think it's up for sale actually.

Wow. Talk about small worlds, ya know?

We had a cottage in Hale, hunt in Whittemore, spend a bunch of time in West Branch, played Golf in Fairview, and always went canoeing with either Gott's or Hinchman Acres in Mio on the Rifle River, and just spent $180 at Jays on Friday. LOL!
