Hi welcome to the forum. When you say it's dry rotted what exactly do you mean or what is it doing? Generally you wouldn't need to do anything with it unless it started leaking.

The weatherstripping doesn't really stop water, it only slows it down. The silicone holding the windshield does. If the stripping is dry-rotted, probably should be replaced, as it could allow more water than normal to get in there, and might sit accelerating corrosion...

Any reputable auto glass shop like Henderson, Harmon, Safelite, or Belle Tire (they have auto glass now) etc... will have that or an adequate replacement stripping that they can replace it with.

Welcome to the forum!

I had the same problem, get it fixed before it becomes a pain, mine was and still is leaking,it caused my rear carpet to get all mildewed and made my allergies go crazy, plus is smelled terrible,I pulled the carpet out today and took the headliner off, gonna try and find the leak tommorrow and just use some sealant since im low on funds
