new guy couple of questions

ok first off I am working on my future sister inlaws 2000 explorer with the 4.0L v6 I am trying to replace the entire thermostat housing because one of the bolts is stuck in the plastic housing and i figured its one of the brass bushings have broken loose because all it does is spin.

Also my fiancee has a 2003 ford ranger 5spd and its stuck in 4th gear and wont come back out I do plan on using the search features so dont blast me as a newby I am not new to forums. I am just trying to find information on how to do all this because truthfully I am a chevy guy and never have done any work on fords.

Welcome to this forum! Check the stock 95-01 section for information on the thermostat housing. We have a transmission section, and a Ranger section for information on the transmission. You said that it's a 5 speed. Is it a 5 speed manual or automatic?

its a 5spd manual i sometimes forget there are 5 6 and 7 speed automatics
