Hey guys! I have actually browsed here on and off for the better part of a year but figured I would join now that I am starting to do a little more work to my Explorer. I have a 97 Explorer Sport that I purchased for $700. Drove it for most of last winter but around summer time the timing chain snapped (OHC) which was no surprise given it had the death rattle since the day I purchased it.
The engine is out of it right now and I am picking up a good running 4.0 OHC this weekend to throw back in now that I have time to work on it. While its sitting around in the garage I am thinking about maybe doing a slight lift, bigger tires, ect. Not sure yet. If this new engine goes out like the last, I will probably be putting in a 5.0 out of a 4 door and be do with it
I don't have many pics of it given it didn't run to long but here is what I have. Basically stock but I love it.

I have a few off road pics I will have to dig up from last spring that are pretty neat.
