I've been a member of this forum for a while; reading posts from time to time and learning from the posts. I actually don't own an Explorer but rather a '96 F150 Eddie Bauer edition reg cab pickup truck.
Last year I started to modify the interior... swapping a tired old bench seat for bucket seats, custom console, audio system, etc. After a few unsuccessful mounting attempts with a pair of Eddie Bauer Expedition seats; I sold them and acquired a pair leather, powered Limited Explorer seats from a '98 Limited Edition. I had to completely rebuild the wiring harness for both seats (had to delete the memory controller on drivers seat) but got them powered up and installed and are working great.
My custom console is from a 2005 Explorer Eddie Bauer edition has been modified slightly (actually A LOT) to house a subwoofer box, 2 farad capacitor and some other things, but it looks retains a stealthy appearance and looks as if it were stock. These pics are a bit old as it doesn't show any of the amps connected.
It's a tight fit and if I was any bigger it wouldn't work but Here are a few pics. Enjoy!
