New guy, looking for Explorer!

Hello from an FNG.

I just found this forum the other day from a guy on www.corral.net . I'm going to be looking for probably a '99-01 4 door Explorer in the not too distant future, due to expecting our first child (daughter!) in October.

It's going to be a family hauler, daily driver for the wife, and hopefully will see some light off-road duty.

Looking forward to browsing around the site and learning.

Welcome to the site. What are you looking for in an Explorer? I prefer the drivetrain of the V8, but I am a little biased. Whats the Lightning run 8.6 @ 82, 1/8 mile?

Nope, must be a different Hokie Dave over there. Hmm.. I did have a Yellow 95 GT vert back in 95-98 though.
I pretty much just haang out at the Corral and here.

Yup. No 1/4 mile tracks within about 2 1/2 hours of me. An 8.6 is about a 13.3-13.5 though.
