hey, my name is Matt and I just picked up my first explorer today. I came from having a 1991 ranger with a 2.9 and the engine now has blow-by on me, so I opted not to spend the 1000 or so on the engine only to have to deal with 15 years worth of jersey rust(been in GA for 3 years) later down the road in the long run costing me more than the new explorer
1991 explorer sport 4.0 5speed- $1500
-rebuilt motor
-clean interior
-sunroof
-a/c and heat work(mine didn't)
all in all the paint is bad, and the motor needs some small tweeks, but I think I got a good deal on this...seeing as blue book is 1800-2800
