94 Ford Ranger Splash
I am replacing a clutch in a 94 Ford Ranger. I have the driveshaft out, the starter is removed. Rear crossmember is out. What I need to know is how to disconnect the supply line from the slave cylinder. Then I will need to address the top tow bolts and do some grunt work. I have gotten much older since the last time I have done this on my Falcon. Had way more room back then.
Thanks
Jack

Right before the clutch line enters the tranny, there's a coupling with a white plastic ring in it. You need to push that ring in towards the tranny until you can't see it, then you can pull the line apart. There's a special tool, but I used a small flat screwdriver. You can also search here for more info.
To reach the top two bolts, lower the tranny down a few inches to give yourself more room, and use a rachet with 2-3 feet of extensions. Really! It helps to have a helper to guide the socket onto the bolts.
I hear ya on the age thing.

Thanx

I want to thank you for your input. That did the trick, but after trying to get to the top two bolts I threw in the towel. I have a friend that runs a car lot and has a mechanic which has done work for me in the past. He got the job he has the tools and a lift and a tranny jack. I'll just stick to the stuff I can get to, lol.
Again thanks to all!!
Jack
