well i used to drive a 88 5.0 mustang...then a lady pulled out in front of me and totaled it. ive been looking to get an explorer for about 5 months now and i found a nice one. its a 2000 explorer Sport 4.0l 2wd with 113k. when i did the test drive it drove perfect...now 400 miles later the trans is slipping

Welcome to this forum! You could replace the filter, and fluid with Mercon V, and a Lubegard friction modifier additive.
