New head unit.

Hey im new so bare with me. So the first mod im looking at buying is a new head unit (Kenwood KDC-MP425 for those interested), and to install i was going to get a universal wiring harness. What I'm wondering is how much will the harness cost and where can I get it?

Other suggestions are always helpful .

Wal-Mart will most likely have it and I can't see it costing more than $10. Just make sure you don't have a factory amp or you're going to have to bypass it.

Where can I look to find out if I have a factory amp because I have no idea if I do.

This is how it happened for me: I wired everything up with the new HU, checked and double-checked the wiring and it wouldn't work. That's how I knew I had an amp. So I just took out the amp and ran all new wiring to the speakers straight to the HU itself. That way you have better, thicker wiring and a tiny bit less weight in your ride (not like that matters).
