Hey guys i was wondering if i could get some help on my ac?I don't know a ton about fixing cars but i know a little so here goes.
My explorers ac is doing some crazy stuff.When i turn the ac on it seems as if everything is working good and the compressor kicks on and the air comes out strong,but it comes out cool not cold.Also when i push on the gas to about 2 to 3000 rpm the compressor kicks off and warm air comes out.
The original problem i had was when i pressed on the gas it would go from the vents to the defrost and when i took my foot off the gas it would return somewhat to the vents and mostly stay in the defrost.The place i took it to told me it was my control panal and they rigged something up were everything will come out of the vents only so i have heat and air but only through the vents.
Now it won't blow cold but very cool and the system is charged to the max and everything seems to be working but no cold air.I'm so frustrated,i hope someone else has had this problem so they can help me as i'm ready to give up.I had the truck for 2 yrs with no ac problems and the blower motor went so i replaced it and it worked for about a yr and went out again.Then i put a second blower motor the same way i put the first one in and after that all hell has broken loose and i don't know why.
I did everything the same the second time and this is what happened as i stated above.The air just started going from the vents to the defrost when i hit the gas and goes back when i let off.How would i know if the compressor is going?It kicks on and sweats but like i said when i rev up the rpms to 2 to 3000 i can hear it kick off then on.What in the world could this be.
I also have a problem with my 4x4 lights blinking and windows work when they want.I hear a clicking noise under the dash and that is when the windows will open then it will click again and they will get stuck.A guy told me it was the Gem module does this sound right?Man do i need help and will take any advice i can get,thanks guys.
