2002 x sport
New here and looking for some help, i have a 2002 x sport 2x4 and i can;t seem to find a lift for it. I am looking for a body lift so i can clear some bigger rubber and wider wheels. I don't off road but i backpack, kayak, and do other outdoor activities that a few inches of ground clearence would not be a bad idea. I started out this project by linexing all the body plastic, running boards and the ft bumper cover now i'm looking for the lift and the specs on wheel backspacing so i can continue my x project any ideas or help would be much appriciated, thanks blkhwkns.

you will have to purchase a body lift for a ranger.. performance accessories makes it. i beleive the part number is either 883 or 893. post some pics of your truck! im interested to see how the line-x turned out.

What year ranger and also do i order one for a 2wd or 4wd?
Has anyone here done one of these? i was wondering about the steering dose the kit have a longer shaft or how is it done? I will get some pix to post.

almost done

33 X 12 50 Maxxis mudder buckshots, 15 X 8 M.T. wheels, lot's of Line X, smoked heads and tails.... Now i'm trying to figure out how to make? buy some fender flares any ideas?

Wow that looks sick, i love it. Is that just the 3 inch body lift and 33's? it looks nice. I would pass on fender flares, the tires do not stick out far enough to need it. I love the bedliner look on the bottom and bumper.

Okay, write it up! :) How'd you do it, and what was the cost? I have one of those that needs to look like that... That's a big change from stock to rock! Good work! Now, share the details...

x2, no deal on the flares...

that does look sick !!!!!

but can i ask why u lifted and put larger tires on a 2WD SPORT ?????

i read that you are an outdoors person, but why not just get a 4x4 SPORT ???

Ok, i had this x and the wheels and tires, i have a jeep also so the wheels and tires were laying around , i needed beadlocks on my jeep so the tires and wheels were put to the side. So i had the wheels and tried to put them on the would'nt clear so i thought i would find a way. The PA 883 body lift kit was somewhat helpfull in getting 3 in out of the body, the bumper brackets however don't fit at all. A plasma cutter and welder plus some steel were an easy fix for that. the body plastic was kinda faded so i called my buddie and we traded out some work, i installed a turbo on his mustang he sprayed all the pannels i could find on the x i wanted linexed, the smoked heads and tails were simply clearcoat mixed with dark pigment and mabey 30 mins of cleaning and prep work, thats ot really. OH I WORK AT A PERFORMANCE SHOP i have been an automotive and performance tech for over 5 years and i have almost every ASE avail, i do auto mods for a living so it just kinda is in my blood. this was a fun and challenging day project and it looks great and is much more fun to drive now, i have yet to install : 4.10 gears and a locker in the rear and i have a full audio system yet to install, this is not my only project car and is kinda low on the pole right now but i'm thinking about doing a 4x4 retro with straight axels in the near future mabey a 4.6 engine with f-250 axels, something way different. Please feel free to ask Q:'s i would be glad to help anyone in any way i can.

did'nt cost me much at all the wheels and tires i had the linex was traded for labor and the tint i mixed up in the shop, so about $200.00 for the pa 883 kit, the bug shield did cost me 20.00 off e-bay though.
