Howdy folks
A few months ago I bought a 2015 Police Interceptor Utility as my first car, and man it's been a pile of work. I can't complain too much about the problems though since I got a pretty good deal on it.
This forum has been immensely helpful and I very much appreciate all the information here.
After buying it, I got 500 miles of problem-free driving out of it. That is, until a P0016 (among other codes) was thrown. Ford dealer diagnosed it needed new phasers and quoted $5,500 to do the job. That's more than I spent on the car, so I decided to figure out how to replace them myself.
The car was in the garage for the better part of a month while I figured out how to replace the phasers (and all the other timing components). The car runs and drives great now though.
