Okay, so I drive an Acura RSX-S.... BUT my wife drives an '83 Mustang GT 5.0 and a '98 Mustang V6 so I hope that's enough to not incur the wrath of die hard Ford lovers. Don't get me wrong I love Mustangs and actually want another to add to our collection but I love my little "ricer", hence the user name.
ANYWAYS, the 98 is giving us a few problems and I googled and found a great thread detailing our exact problem and just wanted to thank the members for their vast information. I know its not an explorer or a ranger, but a ford is a ford and the help is very much appreciated.

Well, the car has just over 107Kmiles and its been acting funny lately. Sometimes when its cold started it stumbles and rough idles around 500rpm and then dies. Start again and give it some gas and it seems to even out and be fine. BUT if we drive somewhere and turn it off and then come back real quick, it will stumble and rough idle again... even tho the motor is warm. It threw some "bank(s) running lean" codes and we researched and found it could be a number of things. The EGR checked out and is actually really clean and clear. We're thinking its the DPFE... Hopefully. If not I dunno what's wrong. Maybe the plugs? The owners manual calls for two different plugs for each bank and currently we're running the same platinum plug in both....
