1991 Explorer XLT
Well, Im new here... Im very familiar with BBs (Im also on www.probetalk.com www.stangnet.com and www.fordforums.com ) so you dont have to worry about me not searching :D

Anyway, this is my 1991 Explorer XLT that I got mid-last year:

Right now it seems to have a gas leak somewhere, the tranny is starting to go (OD is already fried), and the AC pulley is no good. Other then that I love the truck! When this one is completely dead, I will have another!
The truck is also completely stock and I really dont plan on changing that since I have my other 2 projects and I am planning on getting a Mustang again too in the near future... Im about to get the poor Explorer fixed before it becomes the Exploder because I miss driving it...

These are my other cars....

1993 Ford Probe GT 2.5L Automatic Transaxle (this one is the big project)

I know most people hate the Probe, but I like them  but I also like my Explorer... If you want to see more about the Probes check out my site http://www.fiveliter302.com

Ive also had a few 5.0 Mustangs (hence the name, my Explorer is the 6cyl)...

Well, off to search about my problems! :D

Welcome to the site...good to see an avid Ford owner :D

Yeah its really cool to see a person so deicated to Ford cars :) . What are you thinking about doing with the 93 probe and when you gonna get your explorer fixed? Its good to have you here. List of mods done to the explorer?

Welcome to the site!

Any info as far as power in those Probes? I aways that the Probe looked nice and could develop into something for Ford. But oh well.

Welcome again and good luck with your projects. If you stick around here too long you never know, your X might become a future project too!:)

Happy postin'!:)

Welcome to the forum

Is your Explorer going to be lifted and set up for off roading or is it going to be kept the same height and set up for the street look.

Thanks everyone.... :)

To answer a few questions...

#1 I am a huge Ford fan... Im 25 years old and Ive owned 8 Fords (3 Mustangs, 3 Probes, 1 Explorer, and one Ranger XLT). When the Explorer finally dies I plan on getting another!

#2 The 93 Probe I got for $150. It has a blown motor which I have one to put into it. I would also like to swap out the automatic trans for a 5spd. I have headers for it as well as phenolic spacers. It would be nice to put a turbo on it but parts for the car are expensive as hell (my headers along with the catback I want will probably run me $1k ALONE!!!). I am planning on getting a nice body kit (nothing Fast and Furious like) and getting it painted soon too....

#3 My list of mods on the Explorer... Well, sorry to disappoint, but they are bug guard and Alpine alarm :(
I originally just bought the truck for winter driving (Ohio winters suck and I was working up by Lake Erie almost an hour away), but I fell in love with it. Drives awesome and you'll never hear anyone complain about having to ride in the backseat like in my Probes!!

#4 Will my X be lifted or become a project? Who knows... Im doubting it on this one since it has so many problems unfortunately :( Who knows what the future holds though... I have friends with all sorts of trucks (Dodge, Jeeps, Internationals) who always want me to go offroading (which my poor truck couldnt handle right now), so we'll see

#5 When am I getting the Explorer fixed... Well, hopefully soon. Unfortunately the 93 PGT project is getting in the way right now. Im really focused on getting that car running right now. I hope to at least get the fuel leak fixed so I can drive it, but I dont think Im going to do that myself (I dropped a tank on my 89 Mustang, what a ***** that was to do!). The transmission Im afraid is going to cost me a fortune :( . Im not concerned about the AC since I dont really ever use it anyway so the pulley can stay like that w/ the non-AC belt on it....

Thanks again for everyones responses, and Im definately sticking around!

Good to see another PT member over this way. I just sold my 95GT so I could buy an '02 XLS for my wife.

I seem to run into PT members EVERYWHERE! Its crazy!

:darin: (Oh wait, that smiley doesnt work here :D )

Welcome to the board!

Also be careful, the bug bites and bites hard. If it does bite and you get a new one make sure that the one you buy that you can do the mods you want.

You can add your smiley, if you want, by using a url .
