Hey I'm new on here I have a 2002 sport Trac I bought it used almost 2 years ago and of course I tested the 4 wheel drive in my muddy yard and it worked great but this past winter when I went to engage the 4 high it didn't work. A friend of mine has one of those fancy obd2 readers and was able to talk to the transfer case so I know it's not a bad fuse or relay has anyone else had this issue and if so how can I fix it?

I believe that the 1st gen Sport transmission shares the same transfercases as the 2nd Gen Explorers, but someone may correct me on that...

No according to the scanner it was talking to the transfercase and I could engage and disengage the the four wheel drive but it wasn't connecting like maybe the moter for it is bad. That's the only thing I can think of.
