"new" IAC - Still throwing CEL?

i replaced my IAC that was causing idle problems, works fine now, however around 10 minutes after starting the engine my CEL still comes on, could the computer still be adjusting to the new readings?

I have not been able to pull the codes yet, i haven't had time.

Just wondering if there is any validity to this reasoning, it seems like i have read that this is a common thing - computers adjusting over a long period of time instead of immediately picking up on the repair?

Yeah, make sure you unplug the battery for about 10-20 minutes, drain the charge out of everything. Once you pull the code though, we can help you further diagnose potential problems other then the IAC
