Hi everybody:
I just registered and let me tell you something about my Explorer.
I'm the proud (and only the second) owner af a 1992 XLT 4x4 Ford Explorer, that looks and runs fine (photos coming soon).
I live in Arica, Chile, South America, a city of about 135.000 inhabitants in the coast, near the border of Peru. Is a very desertic zone (if fact the Desert of Atacama, in wich the city is settled, is the dryiest in the world)
Near Arica you can find enormous extensions of sand, rocks and other rough terrains to make some Explorations, and about 150 miles to the East of the city you can reach terrains over 13,500 feets high (the so called Altiplano).
Well, I try to mantain my XLT very carefully, but with 153,000 miles she (or he?) is showing some tranny problems to take care, but nothing serious.
I'm glad to join this Explorers enthusiasts club and fooling around the site I already found very useful informatin about my car.
Thanks.
Andy. :redexp:
