Mine aren't too bad but I prefer perfect. Any suggestions for new leaf springs? I could get rid of the shackles if I get more lift from different springs. Or I could just go with new OEM.

Man, your leafsprings look new compared to mine. I'll take your old ones when you get a new set, you can have your relatives bring them up, LOL.

Mine are worn out from ALOT of heavy hauling, towing and offroading as are my torsion bars.

Alot of Ex guys run 4 door Ex springs for added lift and strength but our Tracs' spring are actually stronger and give more height. I'd look into the offroad drivetraing section for options on this. I know Superlift spring give you lift but are soft as hell.

I have an extra set. Let me see what they are, 2004's IIRC. Seems like they were arched more than the 01-02 models which is why I didn't use them after I bought them. I had a helluva time getting the right spring for my 02.(had one broken in the wreck) There are 2 codes for 01-02 and nobody knows the difference. Then there are the 03-05's and the same thing ..... no info. Salvage yards want $75 each for them but I think I got this spare set for $100.

Jerry, you just need to come get this parts truck and the extras that go with it..........tease,tease!:confused:It's only money. I'll pull the front clip and make you a gooooooood deal.:D:D:D:smoke:

Steve, hopefully I start back to work next week. I would love to get that parts truck from you, if you still have it come springtime I would definitely have the money for it. Pm me with the price with/ out the front clip, I'd definitely want that too.

Thanks Steve. I'll keep it in mind. Just putting these on my list of things that need done. If you still have them when I pull the trigger I'll get back at you. I just noticed yesterday while doing some measuring that the rear wheel well on the driver's side is about 3/4" lower.

Not something that I'm going to freak out about and change immediately, but wanted to see what the options were, get some knowledge from wiser men than myself and maybe provide an answer for someone else who has the same problem or bring attention to something others may not have thought about.

Thanks.

Full tank of gas by chance? That'll make the drivers side squat a little bit if the tank is full. The left/drivers side is also where the weight always is .... driver, fuel.

Age and gravity takes it's toll on auto springs too. (.)(.)

Actually, yeah, filled up yesterday. Hmmm, guess I'll measure again when closer to empty and see how much of a difference it makes. I know about this poor design idea but didn't consider it. Would I be wrong to assume that new springs would have equal height even whether the tank is full/I'm in it or not? Or am I just too heavy for any leaf springs to support?

IMO new springs would probably sit level for a good while until that age/gravity thing set in again.

I'll just keep updating her with new, bigger parts. She'll never get old and saggy if I have a say!
