This is the SRX, it comes in V6 and Northstar V8, looks pretty impressive if just from a small profile picture.

"The newest production model was also unveiled at this event. Cadillac made its first foray into the truck market a few years back, and it continues with the new SRX. This luxury crossover vehicle features much of the same styling first seen on the CTS.

Seating is available for seven, and two new engines are offered: a 3.6-liter V6 and a 315-horsepower 4.6 V8. All the luxury amenities expected in a Cadillac are present, as well as new features such as the UltraView roof, which provides the largest sunroof system available in the segment"

I dont know what it is with these sunroofs on "SUVs" right now, why does everyone want a huge sunroof? What if you have luggage that goes on the roof?

thats ugly, looks like a subaru wagon (not that they are bad, my friend has one and it rocks) but it has a wing, and the whole roof on that thing is glass, good point about making a luggage rack unusable

the whole "art and science" theme to the new caddies
doesn't really appeal to me.
it feels like some guys from detroit took a weekend crash course in Bauhaus architechture with hangovers

Ever since buying our SLS, the Caddys have really really impressed my wife and I. If it wasn't for that payment, this XLT would be no more - room for the Escalade!

We took the SLS in for some warranty work.. check this out. They wouldn't let us drop off the car overnight (ya know, the key-drop thingy) because the service department wanted to meet me AND my wife. They also wanted us to WALK THEM THROUGH the problems we were reporting. All and all a 100% difference vs. the Ford service departments. Now don't get me wrong, before the Caddy, I thought the Ford service department was top of the line!

What a cool cool experience!

I like it. 315 HP:eek: .

If it is AWD that would be the sweetest for blazing up I-70 into the Rockies.

I get passed all the time by Audis and Subies.

From the little picture, it wears the "art and science" look better than the CTS at least.

I had an STS before my Lexus, I liked the service too, just not the car. It was very mechanically sound, but the interior developed some really bad rattles, peices got way too worn way too fast etc. I have a customer with a 2001 DTS and he has the same issues. Does Cadillac do vehicle pickup for service nowadays?

Yea - I think 6 of our 7 issues are for rattles, squeeks or mis-alignments. It does rattle and stuff, but I'll say this - it's 2 years older than my XLT, and my SLS dosen't even rattle half as bad as my XLT :) (I know, the XLT is not a luxury car!!).

Ya, if I'd have bought this Caddy from the dealer where I'm getting it serviced, they would pick it up for service. But since I didn't, I have to bring it in. No biggie though, they'll be giving my wife (and me!!) a CTS as a loaner :)

I love the pickup and dropoff. Lexus dealers do it regardless of where you purchased it. I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to worry about getting the car brought in for service. I just call them up, the next day they give me an hour long window when they'll be at the office, they drop off an ES300, IS300, RX300 etc (you actually can choose), they call when its done, give you another window etc. Great service.

Caddy didnt do that when I had mine. Everyone always says Cadillac is a better company than car, I think thats correct. If it werent for the quality I'd still drive one probably.
