at the moment i´m more interested in the explorer but it could be changed :D

Welcome to the Explorer Forum (EF) Peter!!! I have many fond memories of your beautiful country, and hope you will make many fond memories of my country. Ask as many questions as you want, that is what we are here for.

:salute:

hey,thanks ;)
i hope we have a good in the usa!!

where and when did you stay in germany??

It has been a while since I have been there, (75-79) but 3 and half years in Baumholder, near Kauserslauten ( sorry about the spelling) , 2 years in Schwinefurt (82-84), and 2 years in Garlstadt, between Bremen and Bremenhaven (87 to 89)

I enjoyed the people, scenery and history of Germany, I have so many favorite places I traveled to, but I have to admit, Hieldelburg (bad spelling again) was one of the places I went to several times over. The castle fireworks were just amazing.

Welcome Peter!
My Mom's from Rastatt, which is near Heidelberg. I spent a couple summers there when I was a kid. Loved the country!
So why is the German Air Force sending you to New Mexico? Some kind of joint operation, or are you invading us?? :shoot: :troops:

@ reapereviltwin: Kaiserslautern, Heidelberg...;) no problem,my english is also not so good :D so, you´ve been a real long time in good old germany :D i´ve never been heidelberg!! i live at the mosel, that´s not far away from the nürburgring nordschleife (northloop). when i´m back in germany you can visit me and i´ll show you the northloop and the winemountins ;)
by the way, baumholder is only 120km away from my home ;)
my homebase is the fighter bomber wing 33 in büchel where are americans, too!!

@ RangerX: oh,i see that i had my basic training nearby Rastatt - in Germersheim!! Our Tornado-Pilots are trained in Alamogordo and i´m one of those guys who build the bombs for the tornado!! don´t be afraid,it´s only training ;)
so,i´ll stay there for three years or if i can for six :)

One of the places I enjoyed visiting while in Baumholder, the church built into the mountian at Idar-Oberstein.

You must have steady hands to build bombs for fighter aircraft!!!!!

oh,i never heard about it :D
and that´s in my own country!!

no,it´s real easy to build bombs!!
by the way,the most bombs we have are from america ;)
