- 2002 Explorer 4.6 4WD Ltd
Hi guys,
I'm new on this forum and i'm from Swizerland. I had a 1997 ford mustang than a 1998 Used Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 for 4 years. After 100000km and 280,000 km (175,000 miles) on the odometer without major problem I decided to take a used Ford Explorer 2002 4.6 V8 4WD Ltd with 160000km (100000 miles).
And now after only 1000km it's beggining to have some problems ... the cable from the front left window motor is broken (10 days delivery...I'm still waiting now) ... a strange noise is coming now from under the truck. The dealer say this is normal on this model but for me sound like a new torque converter (see my vid: http://youtu.be/2_juTuMqGOg )
The biggest problem is finding competents garage in Switzerland with reasonable prices for parts (often the price is 3 time the normal with the excuse that we must import the parts).
Since the time I drive
cars (ford mustang gt 98, 98 Explorer, Explorer 02), I learned to do my self the maintenance on my car.
I hope to contribute a little to the this forum and to become some answers.
Cheers
