Recently became a 2 explorer family here and signed up. Got an 03 from my dad last year with only 9k on it and just sold off my car and picked up a 98 with 96k on it for a great price and it made a 600 mile trip with no issues so just been lurking around asking a few questions, to get it back into shape. Didnt want to spend a lot of time on it if it was a pile but 20 mpg at 75-80mph on the highway and after a 1000 miles hasnt used a drop of oil so its a keeper. If it wasnt for a spot of rust and some funky door locking probs (which as long as the motor is sound I'm not worried about) it would be perfect. Not new to ford trucks have owned 3 rangers in the past and my pops has owned 3 explorers and there have been various other trucks in there as well.

Cant wait to get the thing muddy, got some new AT's for it that need "testing" ;) Wife won't let me beat up on the '03 I'll grab some pics of next time I wash em up, thought I had some but can't find any right now. Both are pretty much stock anyway.

thanks to those that have helped me out already with a couple questions!!

Accidentely dumped them in with pics of my old Mazda 6 I recentely sold, strangely haven't missed it as much as I thought been enjoying the old X! Better fit for me anyway since i hardly spend time in the car in the summer and prefer to ride the old VFR around until it gets cold.

Here is the '03, XLT Sport. SOHC 13,000 miles garage kept. beyond excellent shape, and what really got me missing a truck of my own, wife couldnt drive my old car (manual tranny) so I rarely got to drive it.
Couple weeks ago after a nice wash and wax.

About 2 days after we got it home I put it to work. I hated those shrubs, don't know how many times a ran into them when it was slick out so this was FUN!
