Yehh the rust spots are covered with warranty, but they have buffed through the tri-coat metallic paint down to bare metal in places. I'm guessing it's not easy to buff out fine pieces of metal without scraping other areas of good paint. I'm not sure if they have clear coated the heavily buffed paint finish. All in all it puts a sour taste in one's mouth. I have bought many new fords over the last 40yrs or so, and did not see this one coming. But at least the whole car does not have orange peel like the "black" F350 I traded for this car. At least the white explorer is a very forgiving colour. Ohh yehh and I forgot, the rear tail lift gate had a bad dent in it just above the explorer badge, the day I bought the car, before driving off the lot I was told it would be changed, they'd order a new tail lift gate, that did not happen. Out with the bondo.........Maybe I should write a nice letter to ford corporate thanking them for all the headache etc. on a Brand New Car.
