Rust spots on a brand new car.........anyone else had this problem ? I was told by the paint shop that is correcting this issue that it's the train delivering the new cars. Metal flying of the train wheels/brakes during delivery, that lands on the new cars.

Yehh the rust spots are covered with warranty, but they have buffed through the tri-coat metallic paint down to bare metal in places. I'm guessing it's not easy to buff out fine pieces of metal without scraping other areas of good paint. I'm not sure if they have clear coated the heavily buffed paint finish. All in all it puts a sour taste in one's mouth. I have bought many new fords over the last 40yrs or so, and did not see this one coming. But at least the whole car does not have orange peel like the "black" F350 I traded for this car. At least the white explorer is a very forgiving colour. Ohh yehh and I forgot, the rear tail lift gate had a bad dent in it just above the explorer badge, the day I bought the car, before driving off the lot I was told it would be changed, they'd order a new tail lift gate, that did not happen. Out with the bondo.........Maybe I should write a nice letter to ford corporate thanking them for all the headache etc. on a Brand New Car.

No way I'd bondo a brand new truck that had transport damage. Dealer should 100% be on the hook for that, keep on them about it & make them make it right. It's been a while since I worked at a dealer, but IIRC, they charge back to the transport company to cover transport damage, unless it happened there on the lot, then that's a different story.
Also don't think buffing is the right approach for removing 'rail dust'. Claybar probably would've been more effective.

Bondo on a new car?? The damaged tailgate would be covered by Ford if it was in transit damage. Absolutely not. I would have walked away from the deal.

When I picked up my car in September on 2019 after work it was getting dark. I asked the dealer that I want to inspect the car before taking it home. My dealer told me not to worry if there are any scratches or anything, Ford gives 7 days to return the car or they will fix it for free.

Welcome to the Forum.
What you are seeing is not actually rust spots. orange spots all over

Give it a wash with Oxalic Acid. Us old foundry workers used it all the time to clean up those rust spots. Google it.
