- 2003 Ford Explorer V8
Hello all,
I have to say Ford cars have been apart of my life forever.. My Dad owned a Ford LTD, Ford Ranger, Ford Taurus... so natural my first car the sexy Ford Tempo. I loved that car until the muffler fell off at the toll booth on the highway and I had to grab it with my coat and put it in the trunk. Traded it for a shiny new Kia Sephia in 1998. 1st worse car decision ever. The engine blew up.
Enter the Chrysler Cirrus (not too horrible) but it cost me a mint to repair small problems because the engine was just oddly placed. So in 2006 I came back home to Ford and a used 2000 Ford Explorer lovingly named Maybelle. Outside of a rebuilt transmission and some gremlins with the instrument cluster she gave me no problem for 9 years. Tragically she was taken from me by a negligent driver, who hit me head on just 4 days before Christmas. I came out with a few bruises but Maybelle was totaled.
So after a insurance nightmare I purchased a 2003 Ford Explorer Limited V8 with 220,000 miles at an auto auction.(now known as Della) After reading the forum I decided to join in the fun, because frankly this is a new car-driver "relationship" and I need to learn as much about her quirks as possible.
Thanks in advance for the fellowship.
