Hello All.

I have a 2003 eddie bauer explorer. I have this problem. When I am driving, no matter if at high or low speeds, I get this noise that sounds almost like a bird chirping. It occurs probably every 15 seconds. Sounds like it is coming from the rear of the vehicle, possible the axel.

Is it possible that something needs lubrication? Has anyone experienced this before?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

A drivetrain noise will vary with the speed of the vehicle - things rotate faster as you go faster.

Don't really have a good idea of what it may be. Some people report click type noises from the left rear wheel well which turns out to be the blend door for the rear air conditioning. You might try turning off rear air if you have it and see if it is related to that somehow.
