Hi all!
First off, I want to say thank you to all the members who took their time to post all the great write ups on troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, everything. This forum has been a lot of help to me.
My explorer is a 1998 XLT 5.0L AWD. I bought it two years ago, and it's been both my daily driver and light trail runner. I recently put some new 31x10.5R15 Goodyear Duratrac Wranglers on it, along with WAR shackles and a torsion twist that gave me about an inch and a half. I also dropped the running boards. Gives the Ex a much more aggressive stance. Shock are Rancho 5000s. Good ride and American made
.
I've replaced almost all the suspension components for both front and rear, did Timken wheel hubs, and a whole bunch of other minor fixes. Most work now is just scheduled and preventative maintenance.
I just passed 150,000 today and mechanically, it still runs great. But thank to going to school during a Pennsylvania winter, my body is getting some really bad cancer, and almost all the frame coating is gone. I'm seriously considering doing a frame off sheet metal replacement and frame coating. Very expensive though.
But, enough of me talking, how about some pictures?
Tomorrow I get my Hunter grill guard in, so I'll add another few pictures of that.
