Hi guys. I had an explorer in the past. Havnt had on for several years. All my trucks are full size. Our suburbans tranny went out last night so I decided its time to get another explorer. Some thing cheap ($3500 or so). I realy want a 4x4 4 door and was thinking 91 to 93 or so. Then I remembered this forum and started looking around. I realy dont know what to get now. Your input would realy be apreciated. Eventually I will probably have McNeil or some one work up some beams and arms and go that route. I want some thing my girl wont mind as a daily driver that can still hit the desert (Ocatillo wells) and well as trail and crawl a little bit. We usually have kids with us so I like the 4 doors but I also have a blazer so some times we do the 2 door thing.

Im am just over the hill from you in Tierrasanta. We are out in santee on saterday and sundays some times for the swap meet. Also run past auto fab and CMC some times. Have you built up your X? Any input as to what year I should be looking for? I am hoping to get some thing tomorrow or Monday.

i have not built it up but if you are looking for a good truck to start with a 91-94 are great. autofab make the cut and turned 4x4 beams so does camburg. I have been in a couple coil-overed x's and they are a really smooth ride aswell as jumping. thats weird though i will be at kobeys tommorow

we are hitiing santee then kobeys. We are driving a black 2 door Yukon with 33's and a gypsy rack with 5 cans and a spare on the roof. You cant miss it.

I ended up getting a 97 5.0 auto 4 door 4-wheel drive.. What did I get myself into here? It has 40,000 on a fatory replaced moto and 180,000 on the odo.
