New Member Radio Volume is crazy!

Hey all,

My 2001 Ranger, the radio volume is crazy! It wont turn down sometimes and actually raises volume when I turn it to the left. Any clues?

Its the single CD factory radio. completely stock no mods.

It's a fairly common problem. Apparently the potentiometer that controls that function goes bad (or can go bad). Trevor at www.pacificaudiotech.com was the guy I talked to on the issue. He corrects that as well as a number of other inherint problems with those units. Turn-around time is fast, and the price is right.
