Hi All Have 2012 Ford Explorer Went to Baja and got salt from the roads on lower/side exterior including paint, plastic trim and chrome trim. I read on the internet to clean with white vinegar. Can anyone confirm or provide alternative method? Once cleaned is there a product that should be used on the plastic trim to keep it in good condition? I have read on Ford sites that they do not recommend using Armorall, which I have used for years on my other vehicles. They especially recommend not using it on the dash to avoid creating a shiny surface.
Last question: How important (if at all) is it to use the Motorcraft cleaning products?
Thanks.
