1994 Ford Explorer Sport
Hey Hey!

Names Nicholas, call me Nick, I love my explorer!

Its a:

1994 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, 2 door.
5 speed standard Transmission 4.0L. :burnout:
I love it so much, its my baby!

Some background on why I turned to advice [you all]:

Friday, July 20th I rolled my Volvo S60 into a ditch, I plan on snapping some photos of the Volvo and video taping what it looks like to show it to who is curious as to how serious my commitment you this community is, but me and my Wife should have died. I plan on being loyal to the forum community, and wish to prove it so that I may have some respect. It would mean the world if i was to receive help and attention, I have turned to you all hand forward for help, please give me a chance.

I have many high hopes:
-Meeting Motor Enthusiasts like myself
-Learn more about the unique qualities
of the explorer, and how to enhance the
Explorers Driving experience, ,
-Conspire improvements & gain ideas
-I want to Learn about cars!!
-Hopes, for acceptance as a member

# Hope to gain Advice on:

Interior enhancement-Shifting-Possible turbo installments-Tire pressure&brands-Safety Tips-Tips on improving accerlation-Lowering rather lifting tips-insight on tire circumference behaviors, like small tires offer fast pick up but lower top speed in relation to how to hard the engine works. and bigger tires carry out inertia better and require less work at higher speeds, so i hear anyways.

I dont want my Explorer to be just another vehicle, but a role model for others on what the ideal and safe sports truck is

Many thanks to anyone whose made it this far, it means alot for a stranger to go out of their way to listen!:thumbsup:

Im pretty kind and respectful and a good listener, all I ask is for a chance.

The earlier info is some introductory background, to give you all an idea of why I am here, and obviously if the reason weren't legitimate I wouldn't work so hard to prove my desire to be an active part of the crew,

Butttttt, my future projects for the beast are:

1) Replacing the calipers and brake pads
2) Putting together the sound system, aftermarket stereo, amp, and 12, sub.
3) One project im working on is lowering the explorer, after rolling the Volvo....haha yeah you can imagine how i feel.
4) Replacing the front - passenger tire, bad tread,
5) Replacing the window motors, power windows are faulty unless pulled or __pushed up,
6) Maybe Fixing the A/C, summers almost over but i may get a trainee __position at Merchants Tire and Auto.

Then considering,
-Tint
-All New Tires

And Some guidance maybe?

Since purchase, I've filled the Explorer with 93 octane Gas to clean the injection system, and used octane enhancers and detergents to clean the injection system and also to give the ride a more sporty feel, any feed back on that would be greatly appreciated.

well for all of you who read through my thread, you have my deepest thanks and be sure to look forward to the rolled over Volvo pics/ and vid.

-Nick

P.S. Glad to be here, being able to compose the thread has been a very warm and welcoming experience thanks!:)

Well From what I have seen on paper, the type of Explorer I have is the 2-door sport edition, but its commonly called Ford Explorer Sport, But being new and all I thought being proper would be right, honestly i have no idea why its called a "...Sport Trac"

Welcome to the site

Welcome Nick! Well thought out first post!

Just FYI- this is a Sport Trac:

Any 2-door is just a "Sport" so that was the confusion... :)

The only thing I'd say so far is nix the 93 octane. Not only is the Ex tuned for 87, there are actually no additional detergents in 93 vs. 87... Save your money, toss in a bottle of Techron, and call it good. Go for top-tier gas if you do anything different.

You could read up on a Seafoam treatment, some are up on it, some are not. It does clean up the internals though, if done correctly.

Read through some of the posts, and you'll enjoy your time!
