2007 Explorer Limited
Good day all! I'm new to the site and have been having overheating issues. I have a 2007 Explorer Limited with the 4.6L V8 and automatic transmission. The issue began about 3 weeks ago. It does not occur while on the hi-way just when I am driving through the city. The engine begins to make a very loud "roar" and shortly after that the temp begins to climb into the red line. When I begin moving faster, the roaring stops and the temp drops to the normal level. Is there anyone else that had the same issue and if so, how did you correct it?

Yes, of course, coolant...... (where is the face palm emoji?)

Do want you want - I only use Unicorn pee (filtered, or course) to mix my coolant. You can use water if you want I guess. Just don't expect it to last forever like mine will.
