2008 Sport Trac
Hello everyone, I am a new member from north Florida. Last year I purchased a 08 Sport Trac (4x4/4.6). Over the weekend I installed a truxx lift along with the BTF uniball upper arms. I also upsized the tire to a 265/65/18. When I went to get an alignment they told me that the camber is too positive and they needed caster adjustment for pull. The kit said it worked with all stock equipment and gave alignment specs but the shop said the specs were worthless because the truck lacked the means to make the adjustments. Am I the only one with this setup that has had alignment issues? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I installed the truxxx kit on my 07 v8 xlt 4x4 and took it down to the local Kaufman tire shop. They performed the alignment and said it wasn't exactly perfect due to the lift but I can't remember where it was off. I've been driving it for over a year now with it and have had no issues or tire wear issues.

Did you get the 3/8"-1/2" extended BTF UCA's for lifts and more adjustment? If so, did you contact BTF?
I believe Brandon said that he had to limit the extra length because if they were too long it would have resulted in too much positive camber at normal ride height....more than could be compensated for by an alignment.

GSU4x4: That is kind of where I am at. I am concerned because you can look at it and tell the camber is off. It drives ok though. I just don’t want to shred 1100 worth of tires but I guess only time will tell.

Swshawaii: I purchased the 06-10 Front Uniball Upper Arms (the only part available from BTF for an 08 on their webpage) I tried the contact form but never got a response. I may have better luck calling on the phone.

I didn’t add any washers and now the bushing is pulling back through the sleeve because the fit wasn’t right. I guess I am going to have to pull it apart and replace the bushings and add the washers to make it fit better but that isn’t going to fix the alignment issue.

Thanks for the feedback.

same here as GSU4x4 said no issues whatsoever
