My name is Rick, and I thank you all for the great wealth of knowledge available here in your site. I have used your sight for some time. I have owned 10 different Ford models in my life. Ford’s have always been good to me. My 98 Explorer Sport is my first 4 wheel drive, although I have owned Ford trucks in the past. I have always done my own repairs if possible. My current Explorer has over 200,000 miles on it and original transmission. When I bought it I knew that it would need work. I plan to change motors soon and will need advise.

Welcome to this forum! Which motor do you have in there now? Do you plan to rebuild it on your own or swap it?
