hey all, just found this site thru a friend. Im new to the explorer-world as i've always wheeled jeeps but then moved onto a new rig. Had a stock 93 explorer with a blown motor and bad tranny. swapped in a v6 taurus SHO engine, matted a 5-speed tranny and the crappy electronic panel 4x4 shift (soon to be removed), ford ranger 2000 rear axle 9stock front dana 35, all geared 4:73 with open rear diffs... gotta lock these up someday... lifted 6 1/2 inches suspension (sky-jacker pro custom) and 3 inch body lifts for a total of 9 1/2 inches! currently running pro-comp mud-terrains 35x12.50x15. Thats all the mods for now, soon to come an interior rollbarcage, newer ARB-style front bumper (custom welded by me) with a winch receiver mount and some tow shackles. have some pix of some running the trails at reiters pit in washington and the north-bend trails
