Just joined the forum because I still like to do some of the basic maintenance on my vehicles when I can. Started back in the sixties with a 1955 ford fairlane and haven't looked back. Owned mostly Ford's - three mustangs among the cars - a 1970 corvette, 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 1965 GTO and now on my second explorer. Look forward to seeing how it's done so I can slide by the $100 an hour mechanic charges.

Chris, welcome. I have been wrenching on my own vehicles since 1976 & so far there is not much I have not been able to do on my 00 Ranger 4X4, my wife's 08 Escape, our 99 Sport, & my 69 Mustang.
