[Skywagon driver]

Hey folks! I have a 93 Explorer and a 99 Expedition. Son owns a Toyota and makes Ford jokes all the time. My issue is with the 4wd Explorer - the chatter/grind is coming from the front rt. Brakes are good. A slight play grabbing tire at 6 and 12 o'clock positions and rocking. Was told by previous owner ball joints may need attention. This sounds more like bearings, or maybe the push-button 4wd is not dis-engaging right. What do y'all recommend as next step?

Jack up the front end and see if either wheel is locked in with the front driveshaft. It would be a good time to inspect and repack your wheel bearings as well.
