Is there supposed to be a countdown or timer to the exits while in this sceeen? It always shows 0 hours and 0 minutes.

Any ideas?

I had a route going, that screen is the freeway poi screen. I even chose a poi and the timers didn't change. Not sure what it does.

Right! It knows how long it will take you to get where you are going on your current route but can't begin to tell you how long it will take to get to the poi until you choose it. Just a guess though.

Edit: Wait you did say you chose it and still nothing? Then I am stumped.

Didn't notice that POI feature. Do you have to enable it?

That's a pretty kick-arse feature I have to say.... Aside from the apparently non-functional timer.

Yes, I chose a poi from the list and the timer didn't change.

Had a major mess up from the navigation today, hopefully it was a one time glitch and not a sign of things to come.

Apparently I was driving sideways on 95 for over 30 minutes.

That can't be good for your tires. I would try driving straight as the car was designed. :D

The nav system probably lost a couple of satellites and had trouble fixing your orientation.

And I hope it was a one time glitch, because if it continues I'm gonna be pissed.

Well, in it's defense, it does say "Twirling and Swirling"

:)

...from the album Village Zoom Buggy I believe... :D

This happened to me this morning. It's normal.

GPS requires line of sight to the satellites (and it generally needs 4 of them), so if you go into a city with taller buildings, or drive into a tree lined area you are going to lose some of your satellites - if not all of them.

Not a bug with MFT or the car at all - just a limitation of the GPS technology.

Your cell phone BTW may not lose navigation because it utilizes assisted GPS which allows it to use the cell network (and various techniques) to help fix your location even without line of sight.

I was in Virginia on a 4 lane interstate, I don't think line of sight was an issue. It happened right at the merge of I-295 and I-95. As soon as it merged, it went haywire. I was actually looking at the screen just as it happened.

It just got confused and took 30+ minutes to become unconfused. I even did a master reset and an SD card pull, and neither helped.

That is odd then. If it happens again you could put it into diagnostic mode and it will tell you how many satellites it has acquired.

Could have been a patch of ice and you were twirling and spinning, gps follows your track, Lol

Maybe you just passed where they were filming or practicing for Dancing with the Stars?
