Been reading lots great info here...old guy..trying replace factory 3.0 in my 99 ranger xlt 4x4 with a pre august 01 explorer 4.0....looking for all info on wiring...been to Ford dealer..seems they changed connector c115 in or after aug 01...

Welcome to the forum. Is that 4.0L pushrod or the sohc? The ranger and explorer basically share the same wiring up to the 01 model year so a 4.0L or a 5.0L would be plug and play once you deal with the pats. I don't have any wiring diagrams to share with you.
