new owner of 02 exploder

Just picked her up yesterday. Some shade of green metallic with tan cloth interior.
I am not a Ford fan but it was one of the 2 4x4 vehicles on the lot, and it was by far the nicer of the two.
At first didnt like it to much, but me and my woman are really liking this truck!
Paid 8k with 91k miles on it. Will post pics tomorrow if anyone is interested but it is raining out here.

Are any of these problems normal?
hub bearing front driver side? Mine is shot and hums very loud.
Door ajar light in the dash is always on, easy fix?
4x4 high and 4x4 low light flashes every once in a while, reason to worry?

They are going to fix the bearing and door ajar, but they arent sure on how to fix the flashing 4x4light

Welcome to this forum! Tell them to check the shift motor, and the 4X4 module. It's a good idea to scan the computer for codes.

welcome! i get around 15-17 city up to 20 mixed and hyway is a whoppin 23mpg. you shouldnt have paid 8K for a truck with problems, but thats just me. Inquire about the rear springs being replaced, i've seen a recent thread on this forum about the rear springs on 02's breaking. if they havent been replaced its something to keep an eye on.

Well when I drop it off Monday they are gonna fix anything that is wrong with it, so after that I will go from there. I work on all my vehicles anyway, so no biggie as long as the motor or trans dont take a dump on me.
