Just bought a 1999 Explorer XLT 4x4, V6 for $2000 down, $2000 in January. It has 130k. Handles great, has all the trimmings I could want. It only needs the passenger window motor fixed (neither the driver not the passenger's switch work... the other three all do) and the rear wiper fixed, along with a patch to the leather on the passenger seat and the center console.
I also want to give it a tuneup, b/c the dealer bought it from an auto auction and sold it to me without doing anything to it. I've seafoamed it and it runs like a dream now. I'm waiting to see how it idles in the cold, as it started and idled rough when cold prior to seafoaming, which I did about two hours ago.
Anyone have a link to a picture based How to on the tuneup? I can't even find the spark plugs on this beast and I read on a few random postings that it is easier if you go under the car?
