Well I need to get into my new planning phase now that my system is complete and what not (by friday anyway it will be)

I was going for some engine work and was looking for some suggestions on what I should take care of first and what some prices look for...

I wanted to eventually drop in an entire new engine but I am not sure if I wanna go with a gas guzzler V8 or if there is a more powerful V6 I can drop in my truck...someone suggested the lighting engine but I have not seen anywhere that that would even fit....comments? concerns?

So do you want to rebuild and build your stock motor up or drop in a V8? The V6 swaps aren't worth it.

What's your budget, facilities, skills, and tools?

That is what my question was should I take my 4.0 and build it up or should I just do a V8 swap....I know the V8 swap would put a lot more power in my truck but the cost and the headaches getting it in and making the truck like it are plenty.....

As for bank account I am prolly gonna look into doing this is 3 months so like 3600 to start out with give or take with some web design work I have been doing....

Skills and what not I am still learning but I know my mechanic personally so all that stuff isn't a prob....facilities aren't a prob either....

Then I say rebuild and throw on a supercharger, unless you can pick up a complete donor V8 for cheap.
