as some of you know i blew the headgaskets off my ex(to much boost and no head studs) on a trip we had setup on here but didnt start there.week before the trip,my microwave blows up,two days before the trip my refrigerated blows up,on the trip my truck blows up and lastly i get home and two days later my trans on my 98 accord blows up!!!!:thumbdwn::mad::mad:

well after that long very bad luck streak and not wanting to drop $2grand into the accord i started looking for a new dd.i found a ranger with a 5.0 swap and the guy was willing to trade my accord and some cash for it.after a week of getting blown off and excuses i started looking else where.i came across what was listed as a 96 SHO.i could tell by the pics it was not a 96 but that was ok because i hated the 5th gen ones.i was really hoping it was a 93 or 95 at the latest.93 still had the 3.0 5speeds with Yamaha heads and 95 had the 3.2 ford motor but an upgraded auto trans.

well i get there and the guy is selling it for his friend and swears its a 96.his friend shows up and right off the bat says its a 94:mad:the one year i didnt want but swears its a 3.0 and has the upgraded auto trans.the trans i didnt believe him at all but maybe it was a 93 build date so take his word and buy it for $2000.i get home and run the vin and its the ford 3.2 not the yam 3.0,which dont make huge difference as its a more powerful motor (220hp-230tq) but price wise it makes a difference.i still paid under blue book but would have knocked another $500 off if i knew that at the time.

any rate its a super clean car and has been repainted a couple years ago.it does have some minor issues as its a 94,needs headliner, side seat plastic covers where the power seat buttons are,a air vent, buttons for ac(known problem),door key pad #5 is broke, power antenna, has a squeaky belt when cold and a CPS.it has a slight lack of power like its dogging out low in the rpms and high in the rpms but think thats do to the CPS and just needing a good tune up.dont get me wrong its still pretty damn fast.it runs smooth as hell and drives really good for a 94,only has 150,000 miles on it.the interior is kick ass tho, leather is in exclent shape and seats are freaking awesome.has the jbl system in it with a sub built into the rear deck, sounds really good for stock:D

ok enough rambling and on to the pics!!o i will not be touching this car for mods besides a good tune up till my explorer is back on the road and running.then its on!!!!!!:D:D

yea 297hp to the ground just from the turbo is sick.for what i spent on the ex i could have had a dyno proven 500+hp to the ground car

I was key turn away from buying a new(er) vehicle also. Had my motor been no good, Id have packed it in. Great to see your managing to take it in stride.

some kids drew all over the inside of the center arm rest in the back and tore the headliner all up!!:(it should come off hopefully bit if nite im just going to always leave it up so you cant see it;)

Lol thanks man.wasn't trying to be an ass.like i said its a real nice car especially for the cost.ask about the cams tho;)

I already know about the cams needing to be welded on these motors and asked. He said he didn't know what i was talking about so i can handle that part on my own as i'm a welder also for work and as he's the second owner he didn't know to ask about it. as the 1st owner had every thing done to it i'm sure he did, I'll stick my bore scope inside the valve covers and be able to see it i think if not i'll tear it down in the company shop and wheel the Tig over and get it done :salute:

You guys have all the toys.

JD, your new ride reminds me a lot of the Ford Supercoupe my M90 came from. At least in body style, anyway.

I'm amazed at how inexpensive a complete turbo kit is. Oh man, wouldn't it be great to have a steady income without working? We could have so much fun with this stuff.

Yea i like those cars alot to,to rare to find one in good shape around here tho.man o man only if we could win the lotto ;)i may have lied when i said i wasn't going to mod this car till i get the ex running:(it needs a cam sensor.think im going to throw an udp, high flow cat/y pipe and remove the resonator at the same time.also i got so much piping left over from my ex build that im building a cai now;)

Also have ordered some pre cut tint for it;)

Its pretty hard to just leave stuff alone. At least the stuff you are starting with won't cause any possible issues to work thru.
