New system is coming very, very soon!!!!

Okay a week ago I ordered my sub from www.bargain-expo.com. I recieved an automated email response saying my order had been recieved. Well as of friday I hadn't heard anything about it being shipped so I decided to call. Well the number has been disconnected. So I checked with the credit card company and nothing has been charged so I am okay there I guess bargain-expo is no longer in business. So I order the sub from www.thezeb.com and actually it was like $10 cheaper. I know they are a popular car audio retailer (at least on www.sounddomain.com) so I should hopefully have the sub by the end of the week. My headunit should be ready by then too.

New system is installed...well sorta

Okay i got the headunit back and everything is working fine. I went to get my 2 amps installed and the install is absolutely awesome. They did a really good job. The problem is that my Clarion amp is fried. I think that's what killed my headunit. I bought the amp "new" from Best Buy. I guess they do pass off refurbished equipment as new because my amp had a short right out the box. The installers heard the same noise I did when I did my own install so basically I didn't do anything wrong it was the amp that screwed everything up. I took the amp back to Best Buy and its gonna be 2 weeks for them to "fix it". What a pain. I'm not buying anything more than a CD from them from now on.

My sub still hasn't arrived from www.thezeb.com but they said its because it was on backorder and they should have them instock this wednesday or thursday which means I should get it 5 business days after that. Not too big of a deal considering I'm without my front components for another week and a half anyways.

I hooked my 2 10's up to the new amp in stereo and they pound. This amp is freak'n awesome. They sound so much better than they did on the rockford amp. The main reason is this amp has a subsonic filter at 37hz or 27hz so the 10's don't struggle trying to get down really low and distorting. So I've got the amp set to play frequencies between 27hz-85hz. This amp makes my 10's seem like a totally different speaker. I can't wait to put 350 watts to the 12" Type-R. It should put out more than the 350 though. Its rated at 350 @ 12v but the voltage meter on the amp reads any where from 14.2-15.0v constantly. This sub is gonna sound awesome. I'll wait and post pics till the new sub and the Clarion amp are back in. Later

Steve
