Sorry I haven't gotten back, we Sailors tend to get underway alot. Yes my heat was not real hot. More importantly, it took forever to the thing to put heat out...
Be carefull about the T-stat. There was a $6 part (much smaller) and a $26 part, (much larger and more sophisiticated looking). Much had to do with the E X models. I have a E model which corresponds to SOHC 4.0. Strgzr
Ive had a problem with my temp gauge, It never goes about the N in Normal, its usually between the bottom line and that. Maybe i should check my Tstat. Maybe a broken Guage?
I had to change my thermostat after moving to the cold climate months ago and i wish it had given me a few more Mpg.
my 1995 still is around 12 to 14 mpg..
such sad mileage.
Dont know about that, I changed mine last week and all i know is that I have heat again in the car and that the engine is reaching its proper temp, better miles per gallon, no....., I guess there is always hope eh?
Here in the uk you need that as fuel is 80.9 per litre average price! OUCH!!! MASSIVE!
You guys will never know how lucky you are, It must cost us 150% more to run our exs here with the price of parts etc. But if you love her you will give here the best!
Have fun and go lite on the gas!
I'm starting to wonder if this may be an issue with me. I've noticed my MPG slip a little, but figured the cold weather was the reason. Lately, it seems to take longer to warm up and the needle on the gauge doesn't seem to go as high. Mine doesn't hit the little icon on the gauge, that's where it always been.
